Applications Operations Specialist
Position Overview: Application Operations Specialist position will provide production support for Magento, JD Edwards, DSI, and Mulesoft based services, etc. It is a hands-on role that requires a technical skillset, service provider oversight, and cross-functional team relationship management. Responsible for delivering clear, concise, timely communication to our customers to ensure their confidence in our team’s passion to provide them with the best customer experience possible. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of eCommerce, ERP, and Supply Chain applications, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
Accept, assign, and respond to service / help desk tickets (Level 2 / Level 3) from end-users of Magento, JDE, DSI, EDI, SmartScheduler and other supplemental systems.
Troubleshoot, research, diagnose and take corrective actions on Level 2 / Level 3 problems and issues.
Conduct root cause analysis, document and correct issues through audit logs, system configurations, system setups and debugging applications.
Own and drive the resolution on applications issues, communicate status, root cause analysis, and provide post resolution reporting for high severity defects and incidents.
Provide technical support to business users, answering questions on function and usage of the applications.
Prepare the plans and run books, and execute applications deployment and configuration change procedures into QA, staging and production environments.
Monitor the applications and systems alerts and attend to them proactively.
Create knowledge base by documenting articles and create/maintain operational runbook.
Enhance monitoring and alerting for technical components by creating dashboards, visualizations, baselines, and alerts.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business and engineering teams.
Create and deploy feedback mechanisms for end users. Analyze results, make recommendations for support process improvement, and implement changes.
Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders.
Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
Participate in the design, development, and delivery of software applications training.
SQL data changes and updates by following the Production Data Change procedures in a cGMP regulated environment
Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
Experience working in a techno/functional support role for enterprise applications platforms. Magento, JD Edwards, DSI, and Mulesoft preferred.
Ability to work in a ticket-based workflow for requests and issues.
Exceptional written/verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Must be attentive to details.
Be available during non-working hours when needed for critical incidents or during production release.
Participate in both after hours and weekend scheduled support and deploying upgrades and Disaster Recovery testing.
Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 7-10 years related experience and/or training.
