CNC Programmer
Assess machining capabilities for all products -- new and existing
Assist department managers as needed
Create CNC programs from prints and or 3D models for CNC machines using various Computer Aided Machining (CAM) packages (e.g. Master Cam)
Responsible for machining process development including, CNC programs, tool/setup sheets and operations development
Design and assist in the manufacturing of fixtures and tooling
Design fixtures for new product lines
Determine best manufacturing methods for parts
Develop and maintain 2 and 3 dimensional CNC programs and related files
Develop manufacturing processes and CNC programming to optimize times including cycle and processes
Implement machining produces for new products in Orthopedics
Insure that programs are flowing through the programming department in a timely manner so that product will meet customer due date
Make recommendations relative to corrections, modifications, improvements, cost reductions and improved quality
Provide assistance for quotes
Responsible for problems solving, training, and activities related to the CNC team
Train all CNC programmers so they have the ability to program all parts made in the medical machining cell
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must adhere to all company policies
Must have a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 9001 & ISO 13485
Must have a basic understanding of Work Instructions and their related data collection documents (e.g. run sheets)
Must have an adept understanding of CNC Programming
