Quality Test Engineer
We prefer candidates with a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ideally looking for at least 5 years of experience
- Someone that has an Electrical background is a bonus along with candidates that have ERP/SAP experience.
Reports to Quality Group Leader, Quality Supervisor, and/or Quality Manager
The candidate must perform his / her duties in such a way that:
Works within company safety policy and OSHA guidelines.
Maintains and drives potential for continual improvement and that it is demonstrated, recognized and implemented.
Works in an efficient and professional manner supporting the Quality team, manufacturing and Management.
Must be a strong team player and work well with others.
Possess a trainable mentality and be able to train others once qualified.
Provide overtime when needed and support product demand.
Practice good work ethics; have a strong desire to learn and ability to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner.
Report failing and passing results to supervision and management.
Perform incoming inspection of purchased material in accordance with quality plan.
Confirm test lots for incoming inspection of purchased material in SAP transaction QE51
Document any non-conformances resulting from incoming inspection of purchased material and customer products in SAP in Q Notes.
Perform mechanical inspection and confirm operations of factory products in accordance with the quality plan, Inspection Check List and PPR and report in SAP.
Document any non-conformances resulting from incoming inspection of factory material in SAP on internal factory material (Q3) Q Notes.
Work with Engineers, Group Leaders, Supervisors and Management to feedback non-conformances resulting from incoming inspection, mechanical inspection and update of test procedures and instructions.
Review and generate Certificates of Conformance reports and document final results associated with shipment to customer.
Experience with GD&T, (Gauge, Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Experience with reading blue prints, mechanical and engineering drawings.
Experience with mechanical inspection tools such as calipers, a variety of micrometers, height gauges, gauge pins, Go-No-Go gauges, and other similar measurement tools.
Must be technically oriented and mechanically inclined.
Good computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and basic file management.
Experience with mechanical inspection tools such as CMM, vision systems, calipers, micrometers, height gages, gage pins and other similar measurement tools.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Citizen, Green Card
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards, and Quality Management Systems, (QMS) is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience with ERP system such as SAP is desired.
