- SUMMARY OF DUTIES: • Understand factory automation technology and equipment
• Update electrical control systems for automation or control of manufacturing equipment.
• Be familiar with computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software such as AutoCAD to read electrical designs.
• Be familiar with all applicable electrical codes associated with the design and fabrication of the equipment.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Lead project technician for machinery upgrades and installations.
* Coordinate and assemble control systems on new and existing projects.
• PLC & HMI Software understanding
o GE PLC’s
o Omron PLC’s
* Automation Direct PLC’s
* Pro-face HMI’s
* Monitouch Hmi’s
* Limited control system panel fabrication
* Interface control wiring to machinery
* Start-up and de-bug of equipment
* Trouble shooting of control systems problems
* AC inverter & servo drive replacements
* Replacement of control components, sensors and field wiring
- EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Associate of Science Degree in Engineering or related field.
- EXPERIENCE:
• Two-10 years related technician experience with no degree would be considered.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Any of the following experience listed below would be very beneficial:
* Motion control experience
* Omron/Delta Tau motion control systems
* Yaskawa Motion Works IEC
* Modify legacy systems
* Other motion control experience other than above would be considered.
* Mechanical skills
