Senior Manager, EDI (Temp-To-Perm)

Senior Manager, EDI

Purpose

Assist and support Director in managing, planning, and guiding the daily activities of the EDI Department. Ensure proper handling and timely processing of EDI team functions. Attest that the EDI Team is functioning at its highest potential to deliver impeccable service to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist Director in managing, overseeing and monitoring all functions of the EDI team operations
2. Analyze current workflow with department Managers and Leads in order to make recommendations for 

a. process improvement

3. Assist in the following tasks:
a. Review of monthly EDI Invoicing
b. Detailed proofreading and sign off of patient statement set up
c. Meet with individual EDI Teams to review workflow
d. Ensure all tasks have been kicked off with new client set up

4. Respond to staff and HR related issues

5. Comply with all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program inclusive of HIPAA Privacy and Security

a. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures

b. Ensure departmental managers and employees follow the Code of Conduct, compliance policies and procedures

c. Administer the appropriate sanction when an employee violates a compliance policy or procedure

6. Assign work to staff and ensure completion
a. May delegate day to day oversight to supervisors or team leads

7. Ensure staff is trained and aware of job and company expectations and determine remedial action when needed

8. Ensure cooperative team environment by
a. Effectively communicating with staff about department and company initiatives
b. Adjusting procedures as necessary to create process efficiencies
c. Resolving issues among staff
d. Encouraging constructive feedback from staff and between team members

9. Comply with all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program inclusive of HIPAA Privacy and Security

a. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures
b. Ensure departmental employees follow the Code of Conduct, compliance policies and procedures

10. Manage recruitment process including
a. Identifying needs
b. Posting internally
c. Screening and interviewing candidates

11. Review and approve time and attendance records according to company standards

12. Provide on-going feedback and annual performance reviews

13. Uphold company mission, vision and values

14. Proactively monitor company policies and address transgressions appropriately

15. Facilitate meetings within department and make presentations to senior management as needed

16. Monitor and enforce compliance with all pertinent local, state, and federal laws and regulations relating to operations and employment

Qualifications

Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

Computer Skills

Excel, Word, PowerPoint required. Must have the ability to create spreadsheet with formulas. Knowledge of Visio preferred.

Experience

Five plus years related experience preferably in a healthcare setting; prior management experience and knowledge of EDI operations required.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
1. Solid understanding of the business practices of clients/company
2. Ability to track and resolve EDI production system problems
3. Ability to oversee and manage staff
4. Comfort ability to work with Clients/ Trading Partners/ Management
5. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
6. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
7. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
